Axis and Craola (Greg Simkins) are two of the most respected painters in the game. From street bombing to fine art, their distinct hand styles can be seen on walls and gallery halls all over Los Angeles. This past Saturday, the old friends once again reunited for TARFEST at Merry Karnowsky, a day of live painting curated by the reputable Ethel Seno. We’ve recently had the privilege of speaking independently with both Craola and Axisabout their creative and professional evolutions, and this time we had the pleasure of being on premise to snap a few photos of the dynamic duo, many years later, still collaborating and inspiring the eager crowds that congregated to see the colorful, anthropomorphized creations of these two living legends. You can see the wall on display at 170 S. La Brea Ave. #Craolaxis
